Understanding usage limits and quotas

Each Spiceform plan tier comes with specific limits for responses, AI credits, file storage, and team seats. Understanding these quotas helps you choose the right plan and avoid unexpected interruptions.

• •Hot — 1,000 responses/month, 500 AI credits, unlimited forms, CRM Contacts (save up to 50), 2 GB storage, 1 seat.
• •Fire — 10,000 responses/month, 2,000 AI credits, unlimited forms, unlimited CRM + Automations, 10 GB storage, 3 seats.

How limits work

• •Responses — counted per billing cycle. Partial (abandoned) submissions do not count. The counter resets on your billing date each month.
• •AI credits — one shared pool for every AI feature, including the AI your respondents trigger inside your forms. Different actions cost different amounts (see below). Credits reset monthly.
• •Storage — a running total of all uploaded files (media, form backgrounds, file upload responses). Does not reset.
• •Seats — the number of team members who can access your workspace. The workspace owner always occupies one seat.

What each AI action costs

Not every AI action costs the same. The price of an action follows how much work it actually takes — a quick rewrite of one question is not the same job as reading every response you have ever collected — so a credit means roughly the same amount of AI work everywhere in Spiceform.

• •5 credits — Ask AI about your responses; generate a form from a pasted document.
• •4 credits — build a form; ask the Agent or the Builder AI Assistant for a change.
• •3 credits — suggest logic for a form; import a form from a file; suggest improvements from your responses; create a theme from a logo or screenshot.
• •1 credit — plan a form; polish a single screen; Smart Insights on your responses; translate a form; create a theme from a description; match spreadsheet columns to contact fields; name a form; and each FAQ AI answer or Clarify AI follow-up your respondents trigger.

Building a form with AI from start to finish is 5 credits — 1 to plan it, 4 to build it — so the free Mild plan's 20 credits cover 4 complete AI-built forms a month. Everything that is not AI is unmetered: editing, publishing, collecting responses, exporting, and automations never cost credits.

Refunds and small balances

• •You are only charged for work you get. If an AI action fails, is refused for safety reasons, or comes back with nothing usable, its credits are returned to you automatically.
• •Being refused costs nothing. If you cannot afford an action, no credits are taken.
• •A small balance still buys small actions. With 2 credits left you can still translate a form or polish a screen at 1 credit each, even though Ask AI at 5 credits will be refused. The message tells you what that action costs and what you have left, so you are never told you are out of credits while you can still do something useful.
• •If your account has bonus credits on it, they sit on top of your monthly allowance. Monthly credits are always spent first and bonus credits are only touched once those run out, so they are never wasted by the monthly reset and they do not expire when it happens.

AI your respondents trigger

FAQ AI and Clarify AI are paid for by you, the form owner, but triggered by your respondents, and they draw on the same monthly allowance as your own AI work. There is no separate per-form budget, so a form that gets shared somewhere busy can spend a large share of your month on its own. If you publish a form with in-form AI to a big audience, check Dashboard → Settings → Usage while it runs. When the account runs out, those forms' assistants go quiet, respondents see a neutral notice, and the forms keep collecting responses normally.

What happens at the limit

When you hit a limit, the affected feature pauses. For responses, your forms will display a "This form is currently not accepting responses" message. For AI credits, actions you can no longer afford are refused with a message naming the price and your balance — cheaper actions keep working until your balance really is empty. You'll receive an email warning at 80% and 100% usage.
